Cystine, also known as L-cystine, 3,3'-dithiodiphenylalanine, etc., CAS No. 56-89-3, the chemical formula is C?H2NNOO2S. It was discovered  by Wollaston from bladder stones in 1810. In 1832, Berzelius named it cystine. It is a sulfur-containing amino acids. there are a small amount of cystine in protein, mostly in the hair, fingers and other keratin.
